Competition Time! #PGRSelfCare

Competition Time! #PGRSelfCare

Whether you’re battling with data, or juggling ethics approval with publication deadlines, being a PGR can be tough. PGR well-being, maintaining a work-life balance, and where PGRs can find support are themes we’ve encountered a lot over the past year, and are very close to the blog team’s hearts. Taking time away from your PhD is just as essential as the hours spent wrangling MyCampus or tackling literature reviews. With this in mind, we thought it was about time we held another competition!

What does #PGRSelfCare mean to you?

Whether you’re typing away at your desk, out at a conference or fieldwork, we want to know how UofG PGRs look after themselves whilst researching. Tweet your top tips and images of your self-care routines using the hashtag #PGRSelfCare to @UofG_PGRblog. We’ll share our favourites, and we’ve loads of special prizes to give away! Social media not your thing? Comment below, or email your entries to Elizabeth Adams.

Looking for inspiration?

Everyone has different self-care routines. Jade has blogged about the importance of self-care previously, and enjoys taking her dog for walks. Cia can often be found knitting and gaming her stress away (often simultaneously), whilst Stuart and Elizabeth explore Glasgow on regular running or cycling trips.

What are you waiting for? Tell us your #PGRSelfCare tips and routines!

Please note- prizes are only available to University of Glasgow PGRs.  You will keep copyright of your own image, and we will credit it when we share it on the blog.
