Love Letter to Your Thesis: Most Inspiring (Runner Up)

The results are finally in! The standard of entries in this year’s competition was exceptionally high. We hope you enjoy reading them as much as we did.

Dear thesis, 

At first, I thought you messed up my life. You are the journey into the unknown, the untouchable answers, the complicated dreams. You inspire my bad thoughts, self-doubt, endless loneliness ...... all subtle and contradictory feelings. But without you, I don't even know what else to do at this moment. 

Then I realised it's not true. You're not the question but the answer for me. You made me face myself. In the difficult process of understanding you, I had nowhere to turn but to face my vulnerability, insecurity, lackness as a human being. I hate this part of myself, not you. 

Sometimes, I want to ask whoever in the world may know the answer: what is true, what I can believe, who I am supposed to be, even what time I should wake up every morning. Please just tell me what to do.  

And you are the only one telling me without any doubt: "You can trust me, who created by you, even it's not easy."  That is a bittersweet point in this pointless life, although I know I'm gonna leave you anyway in the future.
