Love Letter to Your Thesis: Most Bittersweet (Runner Up)

The results are finally in! The standard of entries in this year’s competition was exceptionally high. We hope you enjoy reading them as much as we did.

Dear Thesis, 

There are so many things I wish you knew… Maybe it is finally the time I tell you. 

Since we got to know each other, you are constantly on my mind. I was telling myself you were going to be a small part of my life. Oh, my dear, I was so wrong. How could I focus on anything else when you are around? You always challenge me to be the best version of myself, you keep me curious and creative. And yourself, you are just so interesting, I cannot get enough of you! 

But you also need to know that you are never going to be “the one”. I am with somebody already. He is good and kind, and he knows a piece of my heart belongs to you. You and me? We can only be friends. I hope this is enough for you because I would love to be your friend. 

This doesn’t change the fact that I love working with you. I hope we will achieve some great things together. Nobody else could ever keep me more motivated than you do.
