Love Letter To Your Thesis Winner: Best Goodbye

Oh thesis,

For the past four years you have been a rock in my life during rough storms (even storms which you yourself created). 

And now our relationship is coming to an end, I can barely imagine life without you.

Who else will keep me awake at all hours of the night? Who else will be in my thoughts while in the shower, at the gym or at the supermarket? Who else will I gush about to my friends, family or even perfect strangers? 

How can I navigate through life without you? 

Well, I can. 
Through you I've grown, I’ve changed, I’ve got better. You have given me a voice. You have given me courage and soon you will give me a new name.

You have let me step back into myself. You have shown me that I am not an imposter. 

I do not know where I am going or how I will get there, but I know that you will always be with me. In my confidence, in my passion and in the bags under my eyes.

Thank you thesis. I will miss you dearly but I am ready to move on.
