We have some delicious news for you: PGR Bake-Off is back this September in the Gilchrist!

Forget showstoppers and technical challenges, PGR Bake-Off is all about the lesser-known Research Bake- not to be mistaken for your latest chapter draft served up beneath a delicious crumble topping or crème pâtissière.

The challenge for UofG PGRs and postdocs is simple: bake something connected to your research, and provide a short explanation of the connection. Your baked item- whether it’s a pastry-based volcano, fondant historical figures, or even a gingerbread reconstruction of Oliver Twist- will then be judged by a panel of expert judges and fellow PGRs according to its look, taste, and the relevance of its connection to your research topic. Naturally, we’ll also have some very special prizes on offer for our star research bakers!

Come along and compete for the yummiest research at UofG, or support your fellow PGRs and postdocs, and sample some delectable UofG research! You can sign up for the event as a baker or supporter, however registration will close on Wednesday 20th September. If you have any queries, please contact Lucia Jackson.

What are you waiting for? Pre-heat that oven and bake your research!
